Using KNN, to predict and assign node’s mode either to idle, sleep, or active. For example, given an unclassified mode Node A (we do not know what mode Node A is in -> either idle, sleep, or active). We can assign (by prediction) it to which radio mode by observing what radio mode its neighbors are on. This means if Node A close to a cluster of neighbors classified as ‘sleep’, thus Node A has a higher probability of getting classified as ‘sleep’. | Node A including all existing sleeping neighbors do not have to periodically broadcast beacons to advertise its mode state, but rather keep on sleeping for a pre-timed period. Node A can save its energy resource for not participating in the routing path. On the network side, it can try new route formation rather than using existing sleep nodes which their sleep status is caused because it was a hot-spot node along the routing path, thus to avoid lose of all its energy resource, it ops itself into sleep mode. | 6 to 9 months |

How to install TinyOS-2.1.2 on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS 64-bit VirtualBox VMThis guides let one to install TinyOS version 2.1.2 (from latest tree) on Ubuntu by using VirtualBox virtualization. Apart from enabling to compile TinyOS codes (for example at the very simple...
How to Install TinyOS-2.1.1 on VM Ubuntu
How to install TinyOS-2.1.1 on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS 32-bit VirtualBox VMThe recent TinyOS 3 version has limitation on supporting simulation. Therefore, to leverage the use of TOSSIM, the built-in TinyOS simulator, researchers has to rely on the backdated version of the...
