Wireless Sensor Networks: The First Look

Wireless Sensor Networks: The First LookIn a plain word: WSN is a community of a small-scale computers live by supporting each other for a specific purpose of living. Each 'computer' in the community is called 'mote'; each mote depends its life on a one-off given...

Sensor Networks Routing

Sensor Networks Routing'Next-hop Path': is all the routing about. Unlike 'Uber-style' system, the SN routing mechanics could avoid high-cost route even the route is the shortest in the link. In simple math: take the longer route as long as it cost less. Whereas in the...

Sensor networks has long been known to solve problem in a place where human intervention is less possible such as wildlife tracking. No one would volunteer to sit-and-wait in deep jungle just to track the movement of endangered species. But sensor networks could. Program code are sent remotely to reconfigure the networks with latest updates. However, what if no such action be required where the one-time deployed networks ‘has a brain to think’ what to do, how to do, without pre-programmed, in-case such reconfiguration is needed. I wonder this is the game-changer area in sensor networks to keep it ‘alive’ while many scholars viewed sensor networks research are now getting old and obsolete.
