About Me

I am interested in Environmental, Water & Wastewater Engineering, Bioengineering, Climate Change, Green Technology as well as Renewable Energy. My research training was in water and wastewater treatment especially involving biological treatment. I performed research on the application of photosynthetic bacteria using biogranulation technology in a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) system to reduce greenhouse gases in palm oil mill wastewater. During this period, I had experienced on the wastewater characterization, molecular identification of bacteria as well as removal efficiencies of the biogranules. My current research focuses on sustainable river water treatment & awareness program on river rehabilitation. Additionally, my students are working on the macrocomposites technology in treating domestic & industrial wastewater on sites.
