Ramadhan Kareem During Pandemic of COVID19

24th April 2020 is the first day of Ramadhan. We still continue our duty as fellows to serve the free food distribution to all students who are not coming back to their hometown. In fact, there are no movement during the period of MCO and they are not allowed to go outside the UTM.

Free Food Distribution During MCO

We served free food distribution to all KTC’s students who are still staying in the college. About 255 KTC’s students and 16 international global residents who gain benefits from this program. This effort has been reported in mass media tv1.

Free food has been provided and distributed to all UTM students who are still staying in the residential colleges during the period of Movement Control Order (MCO) starting from 18th March- 9th June 2020 that comprises of breakfast, lunch and dinner. All students must do three simple steps before receiving the free food distribution. First, they must scan the body temperature monitored by the volunteer. Second, they should scan the QR Code in UTM Smart Apps. Third, applying the hand sanitizer to their hands provided by the volunteer. All meals are sponsored by our Malaysian Government.

Our loved, UTM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid bin Omar did a site visit to the cafeteria of KTC during the free food distribution with social distancing at least 1 metre.
