Hazilah Mad Kaidi is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and holds a senior membership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Currently, she is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, formerly known as Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur. She is a senior lecturer in. Additionally, she plays a crucial role as the Head of the Ubiquitous Broadband Access Network (U-BAN) research group and as an associate member of the Wireless Communication Centre (WCC), a designated Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) in Malaysia. Her expertise extends to several active IoT projects focusing on agriculture applications and providing industry and IoT services, primarily centred around health monitoring applications. Her research interests include mobile and wireless communications, error control coding, Cross-Layer Design, the Internet of Things, and green technology. Beyond her academic commitments, she actively contributes as a committee member to the National 5G sub-working group and Crowdsource application and VoLTE group under the IMT & Future Networks working group in The Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTFSB). She is also an OSH-C competent certificate holder since 2019.
