The Majlis Hi-Tea Alumni Fakulti Teknologi dan Informatik Razak (FTIR), UTM was organized by the FTIR Alumni Task Force in November 2023. This event served as a platform for alumni of the Faculty of Engineering Technology and Information Technology, Razak School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (UTM Razak), Advanced Informatics School, Perdana School and BATC, to reconnect, network, and reminisce about their time at the university.
The presence of a distinguished VIP graced the opening ceremony of the Majlis Hi-Tea Alumni FTIR, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Mohd Shahril Abdullah, Director of Industry and Community Collaboration Division, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education. As a respected figure in higher education and industry collaboration, Dato’ Mohd Shahril Abdullah’s attendance added prestige to the event. It highlighted the importance of fostering connections between academia and industry. His participation underscored the significance of the alumni gathering. It emphasized the ongoing support and interest of the Ministry of Higher Education in initiatives aimed at promoting networking, professional development, and community engagement among graduates.
The event was an occasion to reconnect, reflect, and remember, all within the vibrant theme of denim. With the tagline ” Reconnect, Reflect, Remember,” the event aimed to bring together alumni from different graduating classes, allowing them to rekindle old friendships, reminisce about their shared experiences, and contemplate their journey since graduation. By weaving together memories and stitching bonds through the fabric of denim, the event reinforced the sense of camaraderie and belonging among FTIR graduates, fostering a strong alumni community and encouraging continued engagement with the university.
