My name is Nurul Farhana Jumaat. I was born in Kuala Lumpur and raised in Johor Bahru. In 2008, I commenced my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). In September 2010, I completed my Master in Educational Technology at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Then, I decided to joined the industry as an IT Analyst for about a year before return back to UTM to pursue my doctorate. I graduated with PhD in 2014 from none other than my “home”, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
Career wise, I am an editorial board member of the Malaysian Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities and Innovative Teaching and Learning Journal. A frequent reviewer for ISI indexed journal namely Journal of Educational Computing Research (JECR) and Educational Technology, Research and Development Journal (ETRD). My research curiosity falls within but not restricted to Online Learning, Instructional Design, and Technology Enhanced Learning.
I am actively involved in research and a principle investigator of 7 research grants awarded by the University, Ministry and also Industry. I am also a member of over 30 research projects, including the latest EU ERASMUS+ international research that focus on integrating ICT to address Education for Sustainability.
