Celebrating Quality: AUN-QA Accreditation for UTM’s Master of Education (Educational Technology)
We’re delighted to highlight a significant academic milestone for Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM): the Master of Education (Educational Technology) program has been evaluated under the prestigious AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) framework, demonstrating its alignment with high regional and international standards.
What Is AUN-QA & Why It Matters
The AUN-QA network aims to harmonize higher education standards across ASEAN through rigorous quality assurance processes, following principles set out in the Bangkok Accord. Programmes undergo comprehensive reviews considering teaching, learning, research, and administrative effectiveness.
UTM’s AUN-QA Programme Assessment
From 22–24 April 2025, UTM hosted the 451st ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance Programme Assessment. Among the evaluated programmes was the Master of Education (Educational Technology) alongside Master of Science (Biotechnology).
This assessment, conducted through ceremonies spanning UTM’s Sultan Ibrahim Chancellery Building and concluding at Hyatt Place, Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, symbolizes a crucial step in ensuring academic and organisational robustness.
Congratulations Fangyuan Who Finally Finished Her Study in 4 Semesters!
I am so happy to celebrate the wonderful achievement of Fangyuan, my PhD students who has officially completed her study journey in just 4 semesters! This is a proud moment not only for her but also for everyone who has supported her along the way.
A Remarkable Journey
Completing postgraduate studies is never easy—it takes discipline, determination, and perseverance. Finishing within 4 semesters is an incredible accomplishment that reflects Fangyuan’s focus, resilience, and dedication to her research and learning goals.
Overcoming Challenges
Behind every successful journey lies countless hours of reading, writing, revising, and reflecting. Like many research students, Fangyuan faced challenges and uncertainties, but she never gave up. Her ability to stay committed and navigate through the ups and downs is truly inspiring.
Looking Forward
This milestone marks both an ending and a new beginning. With her study journey completed, Fangyuan is now ready to embrace new opportunities—whether continuing in research, contributing to academia, or applying her expertise in professional practice. Whatever path she chooses, her hard work and achievement will always be a strong foundation for success. She is now serving Qilu Normal University at Qingdai, Shandong, China.
