Postgraduate Classes

At postgraduate level, I have been assigned to two teach two courses, at alternate semester. The first one is MKAE 1183 (Prestressed Concrete Design), and the second is MKAM 1033 (Construction Technology). At the same time, I am also actively involved in research ob Prestressed and Precast Concrete Design and Construction. Prestressed concrete is a system devised to provide sufficient precompression in the concrete beams and slabs, by tensioning steel wires, cables, or rods that under working conditions the concrete has no tensile stresses or the tensile stresses are so low that ensuring no visible cracking occurs. This is the most popular construction elements in bridges and building systems. The topics cover the general concepts of prestressed manufacturing and constructions, analysis and design of beams and slabs.
