Create QR Code for a WhatsApp Group in iPhone

Do you know that you can create a QR code for a WhatsApp group from your iPhone? The generated QR code can be shared to other people to join the group easily.

Here are some simple steps to do it.

: (1) Open the group info

: (2) Click the option to get the link

: (3) Choose the QR code to generate the QR code for this group. For Android user, copy the link and paste at any QR code generator available online.

: (4) The QR code will be generated. Save the image by clicking the symbol shown.

: (5) Proceed to save the image by clicking this button.

Messaging via WhatsApp without Saving the Number

Normally, we need to save the number in our phone before start sending a message via Whatsapp. Do you know that we can do it without saving the number in our contact list. Here is the trick how to do it with a very simple way.

Just open your web browser and type this wasp.my/ followed by the number. However, the number must start with number 6 to indicate the country code (Malaysia).

Example: wasap.com.my/601156560479

Try it !!!

: Click open page using WhatsApp

: Now you start send a message !

Joining a WhatsApp Group via QR Code

Scan the QR code as usual using any QR code scanner.

(These steps are using iPhone. However, the steps are not much different with the android.)

You may scan the QR code and do all steps together. It is working !!! Try it.

Once you succeed, don’t forget to write a message “THANK YOU” to the the group.

Then, follow the steps below:

: (1) It will direct you by asking you to join the chat. Just click “Joint Chat”.

: (2) Click “open” to open it in Whatsapp application.

: (3) The WhatsApp will directs you to the group with the participants already in the group. Click on the “Join Group” to start chatting.

Just in case after the step 2 the WhatsApp does not direct you to the step 3, here is an additional step to solve it as illustrated in the following pictures. Then, it will direct you to the step 3 as above.

Backup your UTM e-learning metadata

Normally, you will teach the same subject in a particular semester. You also need to prepare all the materials related to the subject in the UTM e-learning at the beginning of the semester. You need to repeat the same process all over again with all contents of your e-learning including all information and setting, evaluation format, teaching materials and questions.

How to avoid this situation? What you need to do is make a backup and download the metadata of your e-learning at the end of semester. This backup will copy almost exactly everything so that you can reload this file whenever you need.

Here are the simple steps to do it:

: (b) Initial setting – Just click the next button

: (c) Schema setting – Just click the next button

: (d) Confirmation and review – Proceed by clicking the perform button at the bottom of the page.

: (e) The progress of performing backup.

: (f) Complete – click the continue button

: (g) The created file will be located in user private backup area. Download the file in your harddisk.

We can invite participant into a WhatsApp group without saving their contact number in our phone. We can do the invitation via link of the WhatsApp group and the participant that has the link can easily join the group by themselves.

Here are some steps to provide the link with the bit.ly (has been discussed before in other post).
