Here are some tips towards a good teaching philosophy statement:
- Keep the philosophy short and informative. The designed statement should be no more than one or two pages, based on the Ohio State University Center for the advancement of teaching.
- Use present tense and write statement in first person.
- Use common langauage and avoid any jargon.
- Create a vivid potrait that includes strategies and methods to help reader to ”take a peek” into your classroom.
- Make sure you talk about your own experiences and beliefs.
