To analyse the perforamnce of induction machine, usually, the machine is modelled using its single-phase equivalent electrical model as shown:

The parameters Rc and Xm can be obtained from open circuit test (no-load test)

The parameters R1, X1, R2 and X2 can be obtained from the short circuit test. Since the current can be high and may damage the motor, for precaution purposes, the voltage supply is only 10% from the rated value. This will give the current to be a full-load current value
