10th December 2019

The 10th School Innovation Day has been carried out today in conjuction with Bulan Inovasi Sekolah Pendidikan 2019 (School of Education Innovation Month 2019). The Award Giving and the Closing Ceremony was attended by the FSSH and School of Education Management Team. The FSSH Dean Prof Ts Dr Zaidatun Tasir was invited as the Guest of Honour in this occassion.

The 10th School of Education Innovation Day had involved 38 exhibition booths. While the judging session had involved 30 judges from SOE.

Each group were judged by two judges which evaluating the aspect of innovation and potential of commercialisation.

In the Closing Ceremony the Award Giving Session was take in place and the Author who is the Director of Bulan Inovasi Sekolah Pendidikan Program announced the list of winners

Alhamdulillah, on the 23rd May 2018 the 7th FP Innovation Day has successfully being organised with the collaboration from UTMAlumni. As part of the collboration, the event has been conducted at Alumni Hall under UTMAlumni Office sponsorship. On behalf of the organising committee, I would like personally render our appreciation to UTMAlumni Director, Associate Professor Dr Mohd Ibrahim Mohamad who has been strongly support this event.

This event has attracted more than 50 participation amongst Postgraduate (PG) and Undergraduate (UG) students. For PG all the participation were coming from the student who enrolled in the MPPU1003 Innovation in Learning and Teaching course (consists of five sections). While for the UG the participants were coming from the Invention course under the Technical and Engineering Department, Faculty of Education.

On this coming 23rd May 2018, the 7th FP Innovation Day will be take place at UTM Alumni Hall.

This morning, a workshop on How to Apply Copyright and Patent has been organised by the Faculty of Education , UTM. The guest speaker En Herme from Innovation and Commercialisation Center (ICC-UTM) have been invited to deliver the talk regarding on why we need to apply copyright”, and “how to do it.

The workshop have provided clear information on how the FP staffs could identify the opportunity to apply for intellectual property in form of copyright or patent from their research output. At the end of the session, a number of issues related to the procedure when applying copyright or patent has been raised up by the audiences. A number of suggestions have also being given to the guest speaker for further consideration by the ICC.
