Distinction Between Information Giving And Advice Giving

  • Information giving involves sharing with others facts, theories, statistics and other information gleaned from a variety of sources.
  • Information giving rarely involves a moral or ethical judgment that information giving implies.
  • Advice is a type of response in which we attempt to directly INFLUENCE others by offering suggestions, recommendations or opinion about what they SHOULD DO.
