Lawatan penanda aras yang diadakan oleh Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Malaysia Pahang ke Universiti Teknologi Malaysia telah berlangsung selama satu hari bagi membincangkan tentang agenda pemerkasaan mahasiswa dan struktur organisasi masing-masing.
Perbincangan berkenaan struktur organisasi Kesatuan Mahasiswa Universiti Teknologi Malaysia dan Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Malaysia Pahang yang mempunyai perbezaan struktur dan cara tersendiri dalam membentuk cara menjalankan tugas. Hasil perbincangan tersebut dapat diperhatikan bahawa MPP UMP mempunyai 3 jabatan utama yang terbahagi kepada beberapa jabatan kecil yang bernaung dalam setiap satu jabatan utama, manakala KM UTM pula mempunyai 6 jabatan yang mempunya kategori tertentu terhadap setiap jabatan.
Telah dibincangkan juga bahawa Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Malaysia Pahang masih berada dalam organisasi Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar manakala Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Teknologi Malaysia sudah bersedia untuk beralih ke fasa Kesatuan Mahasiswa. Antara perkara yang dibincangkan adalah dengan pembentangan modul pemerkasaan mahasiswa dalam fakulti sebagai salah sebuah inisiatif daripada wakil mahasiswa untuk bergerak ke arah fasa kesatuan mahasiswa.
Kelebihan yang dapat dilihat daripada pihak UTM adalah supaya mahasiswa mempunyai kuasa autonomi dan hak bersuara mahasiswa dapat didengari dan diimplimentasi tanpa ada cengkaman dari mana-mana pihak.
Sehubungan dengan itu, lawatan ini juga telah mengeratkan hubungan sesama mahasiwa/i dengan menjalankan aktiviti yang menarik iaitu โCampus Tourโ. Seramai 17 orang termasuklah MPP UMP dan sekretariat telah terlibat secara langsung

Untuk makluman mahasiswa/i, Jabatan Pendidikan Tinggi telah meneliti permohonan berkenaan dengan kelonggaran pemakaian Dasar Pelaksanaan Takwim Peperiksaan dan bersetuju untuk memberikan kelonggaran kepada UTM Johor Bahru untuk mengadakan peperiksaan pada hari Ahad manakala UTM Kuala Lumpur pada hari Jumaat.
Sehubungan dengan itu, kelonggaran ini berkuatkuasa mulai Semester 2 Sesi 2022/2023 dan hanya terpakai bagi penilaian peperiksaan akhir semester sahaja.
