Biography

Dr. Ajune Wanis Binti Ismail is currently a Senior Lecturer in computer graphics and computer vision at the Faculty of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai Johore. She is a leader for UTM Vicubelab – a research group of experts in virtual, visualization, and vision. Her expertise is in Mixed/Augmented Reality technology, she is the head of mivielab (mixed and virtual environment research lab).  She gets her MSc research study in a fast track of 3 semesters by creating a robust tracking algorithm for AR. She has conducted her PhD study at HITLabNZ in New Zealand under Prof. Dr. Mark Billinghurst and Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar in UTM. Her work involves developing and refining tracking algorithms and exploring new applications of AR technology. research is at the cutting edge of technological trends, addressing critical areas in AR, XR, and the metaverse. Her work contributes to the development of more immersive and interactive digital experiences, with applications across various industries such as education, healthcare, and entertainment. She also has been working with holographic projections (hologram), and today she has moved to explore more intelligence avatars, cross-reality and the metaverse.
