Dr. Ajune Wanis Binti Ismail is currently a Senior Lecturer in computer graphics and computer vision at the Faculty of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai Johore. She is a leader for UTM Vicubelab – a research group of experts in virtual, visualization, and vision. Her expertise is in Mixed/Augmented Reality technology, she is the head of mivielab (mixed and virtual environment research lab). She gets her MSc research study in a fast track of 3 semesters by creating a robust tracking algorithm for AR. She has conducted her Ph.D. study at HITLabNZ in New Zealand and her research with the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mark Billinghurst (a prominent Professor in AR area and also a pioneer of ARToolkit) and Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar in UTM. She has been working with mixed/augmented reality areas, and today she has moved to explore more extended reality (XR) and the metaverse.
