Notice of 2017 Annual General Meeting of IEEE Computer Society Malaysia

This is to inform that all active members of IEEE Computer Society Malaysia Chapter are cordially invited to attend the 2017 AGM for the IEEE Computer Society Malaysia Chapter, which will be held as follows.

WAKTU OPERASI STUDIO KAD MATRIK PEJABAT PENDAFTAR UTMKL

Salam Sejahtera,

Dengan hormatnya perkara di atas dirujuk.

  1. Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa mulai pada 9 Januari 2017 (Isnin), waktu operasi bagi Studio Kad Matrik Pejabat Pendaftar UTMKL adalah seperti berikut:

Hari    :      Selasa dan Khamis (kecuali cuti umum)

Masa  :      8.30 pagi hingga 4.30 petang (rehat : 1.00 ptg – 2.00 ptg)

 

  1. Waktu operasi ini adalah untuk urusan pengambilan kad matrik yang telah siap, mengambil gambar, mengemukakan permohonan baharu secara manual, dan juga urusan-urusan lain yang berkaitan dengan kad matrik.
  1. Namun demikian, seluruh warga UTM masih lagi boleh mengemukakan permohonan kad matrik pada bila-bila masa menerusi emel kepada smartcard.kl@utm.mysebagaimana sebelum ini.

Announcement of the opening of the CREST Open R&D Grant & Targeted R&D Grant Cycle 1/2017

Dear UTM Researchers,

CREST is pleased to announce the opening of the application for:-

1)      Open R&D Grant Cycle 1/2017 and;

2)      Targeted R&D Grant Cycle 1/2017

Open to all researchers from the institutions of higher learning and the industries.  CREST R&D Grant is not limited to E&E discipline but should support E&E industry sector. With accommodating intellectual property arrangement, industry involvement in the research enables the research result to be prepositioned to industry application, increasing the potential for commercialisation at research completion.

The Targeted R&D Grant offers attractive intellectual property arrangement between CREST and the researchers. The objective of the CREST Targeted R&D Grant is to promote targeted research in key clusters identified in the table attached. The Targeted R&D projects will drive new technology development and innovation (products, solutions) for intended market verticals. These will be shaped by the Technology & Market trends Input from industry and academia partners.

9 HARI LAGI! PENGISIAN e-LPPT / e-LNPT 360 / e-LNPT BAGI TAHUN 2016

 

YBhg. Prof./Saudara,

Sukacita dimaklumkan, bermula 1 Disember sehingga 31 Disember 2016, YBhg. Prof./Saudara selaku Pegawai Yang Dinilai (PYD) perlu mengisi pencapaian kerja sebenar tahun 2016 (Sasaran Kerja Tahunan (SKT) / Key Amal Indicator (KAI) ke dalam Sistem Penilaian Prestasi Tahunan (e-LPPT/ e-LNPT 360/ e-LNPT) secara online di SISTEM UTMHR.

  1. Sehubungan dengan itu,  proses melengkapkan pencapaian kerja dan maklumat berkaitan perlu dibuat dalam tempoh yang ditetapkandan YBhg. Prof./Saudara  dinasihatkan supaya mengisi maklumat pada peringkat awal pembukaan bagi mengelakkan berlaku kesesakan pada sistem di saat-saat akhir tempoh pengisian.
  1. Sila ambil maklum bahawa proses menekan butang “hantar” dibenarkan dibuat sepanjang tempoh pengisian PYD di mana PYDdibenarkan membuat pindaan dan menekan semula butang “hantar”. Permohonan “reset” kepada urus setia tidak perlu dilakukan.

Semoga perkara ini berada di dalam perhatian YBhg. Prof./Saudara dan semoga diambil tindakan sewajarnya.

Invitation to the Launching of UTM-Ericsson Innovation Centre for 5G

Did you know that there will be half a billion 5G subscriptions globally in 2022, according to Ericsson Mobility Report?

 

5G, with its unique capabilities, will enable organizations to move into new markets and build new revenue streams, support transformation of all industries, and enable new functionality for people and society. As we move towards a smart digital nation by 2020, private and public sectors will be working in close partnership to explore and capture the opportunities brought about by the next generation’s mobile technology and help Malaysia achieve its vision of a connected society.

 

Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2015 between Ericsson, the driving force behind the Networked Society and a world leader in communications and technology services, and Universiti Technologi Malaysia (UTM), an innovation-led and graduate-focused Research University, we are delighted to be officially launching the Malaysia’s first Innovation Centre for 5G in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

The ceremony will be officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh, Minister of Higher Education, and hosted by YBhg. Prof. Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid bin Omar, Vice Chancellor, UTM and Mr. Todd Ashton, President, Ericsson Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
