Please be informed that the due date of abstract submission for the International Conference on Education and Higher Order Thinking Skills 2016 in conjunction with the 2nd International Seminar of Science and Mathematics Education 2016 (ICE-HOTS 2016 in conjunction with 2nd ISSME 2016) organised by Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia has been extended to 30 December 2015. At present we have received more than 100 abstracts which will be evaluated very soon. We promise that the conference will cover interesting issues on HOTS and other educational topics.

Compliance with CLASS 2013 Regulations for Hazardous Chemicals

UTM is going towards full compliance of the Occupational Safety and Health (Classification, Labelling and Safety Data Sheet of Hazardous Chemicals) Regulations 2013 (CLASS 2013 Regulations), that have been gazetted on 11th October 2013. The CLASS 2013 Regulations, promulgated under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514), have replaced the Occupational Safety and Health (Classification, Packaging and Labelling of Hazardous Chemicals) Regulations 1997 (CPL Regulations). The main objective of the CLASS Regulations is to ensure suppliers of hazardous chemicals provide sufficient information on hazards of chemicals that they supply, so as to mitigate the risk of accidents happening in the workplace, thus providing a safe and healthy working environment and condition.

 

Basically, the CLASS 2013 regulations require:

  1.    1. A new labelling system for hazardous chemical containers, containing all six (6) important elements, with the correct label sizes.
  2.    2. A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for every hazardous chemical, containing all sixteen (16) elements, in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Thus, CMC hoped that all researchers can start to purchase chemicals from a CLASS 2013-compliant manufacturers. This can be enquired from your usual chemical suppliers. Please also request an SDS for every chemical purchased, and keep a copy in your laboratory for easy reference.

The Advanced Signal Processing Research Group, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM and IEEE Malaysia Section Control Systems Chapter, are pleased to announce the 12th IEEE Colloquium on Signal Processing and its Applications (CSPA 2016). Soal Selidik Laman Web Pejabat Pendaftar 2015

Pejabat Pendaftar telah berusaha mengemaskini laman web pada tahun 2015 bagi memudahkan capaian informasi yang berkaitan dengan pejabat ini.

Proses mengemaskini dan laman web Pejabat Pendaftar telah dimulakan pada awal Januari lalu dan ianya masih terus dikemaskini untuk memberikan informasi terkini.

Bagi mengukur tahap perubahan yang telah dilakukan terhadap laman web ini, pihak Jawatankuasa Laman Web Pejabat Pendaftar melancarkan Soal selidik laman web Pejabat Pendaftar 2015 yang boleh dicapai melalui capaian berikut:

Capaian ini akan dibuka mulai 15 Disember 2015 sehingga 31 Disember 2015.

Semua warga kampus UTM Kuala Lumpur (staf dan pelajar) dijemput ke booth-booth yang dibuka bersempena dengan “The 1st National Symposium on Sustainable Infrastructure and Engineering” (SustaIN 2015) anjuran UTM RAZAK School seperti butiran berikut:

Tempat: Dewan Bankuet, Aras 1, Menara Razak, UTMKL
Masa: 8.00 pagi – 6.00 petang
Sebanyak 10 buah booth telah dibuka termasuklah booth Kedai Cenderamata UTM, Perpustakaan Sultanah Zanariah (PSZ), Institute of Bioproduct Development (IBD) dan UTM RAZAK School yang menawarkan pelbagai produk UTM pada harga yang istimewa sempena SustaIN 2015.
Selain itu, Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (AZRB), Mikuni (M) Sdn. Bhd., Selia Senggara Sdn. Bhd., Supreme Pavement dan Tencate Geosynthetics turut membuka booth untuk mempromosikan produk mereka di samping membuka peluang kepada pengunjung yang mencari pekerjaan untuk menghantar resume secara terus kepada mereka.
Pelbagai hadiah menarik turut disediakan oleh kesemua exhibitor ini termasuklah 10 hadiah cabutan bertuah yang bakal diumumkan dari semasa ke semasa sepanjang booth dibuka.
