The Master Environmental Management Class MKKH 1513 went well Alhamdulillah. This was my first time teaching a Pesisir Program on a Saturday and tomorrow (a Sunday). I got to know there were 19 students altogether from 2 different batches (Semester 1 and Semester 3). All of them are presently working as professionals and sacrificed their marvelous weekends to pursue their masters degree. The class commenced with getting to know each other, taaruf which took roughly 40 minutes. It’s important to get to know the students and see their faces, because we are conducting the teaching online and I could not see their faces. Subsequently, I explained about the course information.
I would like to thank Prof Zainura and Dr. Tuan Amran because they help me by providing notes and advices/tips, respectively. Thanks to Dr. Norafneeza who asked me to teach this course. Both of them and few more other lecturers have taught this course before, but for me, it’s my first. After the class, I asked the students to type in what they have learned today in Padlet (as per shown in the image above). The reason is simply so they can recall what they have studied today. You can see the content of Padlet here. I’m very delighted because the response from students were very positive after the class. It can be reflected from the Padlet, whatsapp group and personal whatsapp communication.
I just hope to share knowledge and guide the student to learn more about environmental management.
