Today is the beginning of the week and I am very optimistic to accomplish several tasks. As usual, there are several tasks that I need to accomplish, such as marking the GSA students assignments, manage AJEE journals as well as read/comment the progress report of my 2 PhD students.

These Phd Students are my #2 and #4 which are located in UAE and Penang, respectively. They are further apart, very far from me, but we communicated few times a month. The progress of both of them are very good and promising, that  I strongly believed they will successfully complete their doctorate degree. InsyaAllah.

It has been quite sometime that the Surau Committee haven’t had a meeting due to MCO. Since Ramadhan is just around the corner, there are few things that we need to discuss. Among the agenda was the distribution of dry food packs to asnaf and needy people around our vicinity. We also discussed on Solat Berjemaah and terawih at surau issue and also Kuliah Online. The meeting which started at 8am ended at 9.07am.

Most of the PDP Interim Presentation took place on this Tuesday afternoon. I am not accepted. I hosted Team 6, 7, and 8 which started at 2.20pm. The panels were me, PM Dr. Norasikin, Dr. Saharuddin Haron and Dr. Hashim Hassan. It was the first time ever the interim presentation and I can say it was a success. We are not used to doing such online virtual presentation but when we need to do, we have to do it.

Today is a busy day. My daily checklist task is quite pack and full. I need to complete all or almost all the task one by one. Among the heaviest task today is to review the IRSPBL2020 Manuscript which is a Scholarly Engineering Education Research paper and the authors are from German. The manuscript is quite long and detail consisting of refreshing activities on trans-disciplinary engineering.

IRSPBL2020 is actually the 8TH INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM ON PBL organized in Aalborg University, Finland specially catering on Problem Based Learning.

Since this Tuesday I will be hosting the Plant Design Project (PDP) Interim Presentation for Team 6, 7 and 8, I have to test Webex Platform. Previously I have been using Webex Face to Face Meeting only as participant who received the link for Department Meetings and CEE Meetings. But this time, I need to be the host and must get familiarize the soonest. Luckily it is almost same like Zoom. I managed to schedule 2 meetings for Monday and 1 meeting for Tuesday. The Webex platform is very good. Kudos…

The reason we chose Webex rather than Zoom is because UTM has thankfully subscribed to Webex and we have unlimited hours to conduct class, meetings or presentations.

I couldn’t think of what to highlight for today because there are plenty of miscellaneous micro academic and research stuffs that I handled today. Among them:

1. Following up with all my postgraduate students
2. Uploaded new GSA Assignment in eLearning
3. Checked Master Safety MKKK assignment in eLearning
