I was invited to give a talk, but which I regarded more as a sharing session with School of Civil Engineering (SKA) this coming Thursday. Even tough some may think that it is simple to deliver such sharing, but we must properly prepare to deliver the best knowledge and information to others. The knowledge will then be used and implemented.

Besides this preparation, there are several other tasks today that needs to be done such as:

Marking Environmental Management Assignments, review a manuscript from MAPTR, 2 hours ITE Class, Meeting at 8am for ITE-ISP-ICP project integration, Managing AJEE journal, updating ICLCA website for the coming ICLCA2021 at Okayama Japan, continue filling up my eLPPT and BEM CPD, checking turnitin of the HTGYE chapters etc etc….

As usual, there’s no just one task only today. There are literally tonnes of tasks. But the one that I wanted to highlight is the session where I gave some tips, advice and comments to my IEM Mentee who is now working at Lotte Chemical Pasir Gudang (LCPG).

He sent me his report 1 week ago but I have not had the time to sit down and focus reading his report. This morning I spent some time scrutinizing his report and had a 30 minute telephone session to discuss with him about his report.

When I first saw his report, I must say it was a nice and detail report. A very good job for a first time writing the report. My tasks to mentor him will not be a tough one as this guy is very good. I do believe he is indeed an excellent engineer. He will touch up his report to make it better. InsyaAllah.

Other tasks of the day:

• Preparing for Master Environmental Management Class tomorrow
• Updating ICLCA website
• Review manuscript MAPTR
• Managing AJEE Journal.
• Printing some Surau and Koperasi minor Management stuff.
• Filling up some eLPPT 7p points which have not been filled up.

Today, I cannot pick a single tasks from my various tasks. Not sure why that happened today. So, because of that, I will just lists some of my tasks here:

1. Prepare for Environmental Management Class for this weekend.
2. Prepare for Introduction to Engineering Class for today.
3. Mark Environmental Management assignments.
4. Prepare End Grant Report.
5. Prepare Slide for PBL talk next week.
6. Fill up remaining activities and tasks in my eLPPT 7P KPI.
7. Add photos to ICLCA2020 website.
8. HSC Chemistry Claim.
9. Review MAPTR Manuscript.
10. ICSEC2021 Meeting in the afternoon.

I will be having this Master MKKH1511 Class this coming Saturday and Sunday. It is a once a month class that I am teaching under UTM Pesisir Program. I really look forward for this class because it is very interesting and the students (19 of them) are all responsive and very active, even though it is conducted online.

Well, besides preparing for this, I also have several other important tasks that needed to be done, which among them are working on my own AJEE manuscript, grading assignments for my classes and others.

When I listed my pending tasks, I have more than 20 tasks. OMG! That’s a lot. But I need to stay calm and relax. Try to get one by one settle once and for all.

Today I checked the turnitin of the HTGYE book project. It needed to be checked one by one according to the chapter. There are several chapters that exceeded 20% and those need to be massively improved fast.

I also had my chapter to be revised too and I have to do it fast. Because after this I need to check and improve other chapters too.

I also had few other important tasks today such as a progress virtual meeting with my PhD student, Abdelrahim Minalla who is now in UAE, a Concept Mapping Workshop, reviewing manuscript journal and others.

Today I experienced two main important events. The first is attending the pre-recorded Majlis Anugerah Gemilang Fakulti Kejuruteraan 2020 (MAGFE2020) which Alhamdulilalh I received Excellence Award Service for the year 2019.

Second I joined the first meeting of ICSEC2021 conference which is organized by CREG and NUST, Pakistan. I am going to be incharged of the website part together with Dr. Muhammad Arif Ab Aziz, Dr. Asif and Dr. Fawas.

Today we took an off day due to some family stuff. Even though I’m taking a leave, I still think about the mountain of pending works that I am having behind my back.

Working on reviewing an AJEE Manuscript as well as my own AJEE manuscript.

I have always wanted to write and publish in AJEE. It is ironic that I am now the editor for AJEE but I have not published anything yet. Hence I am drafting one that I plan to publish in the coming Vol 4 Issue 2 of AJEE.
