I will be having this Master MKKH1511 Class this coming Saturday and Sunday. It is a once a month class that I am teaching under UTM Pesisir Program. I really look forward for this class because it is very interesting and the students (19 of them) are all responsive and very active, even though it is conducted online.

Well, besides preparing for this, I also have several other important tasks that needed to be done, which among them are working on my own AJEE manuscript, grading assignments for my classes and others.

When I listed my pending tasks, I have more than 20 tasks. OMG! That’s a lot. But I need to stay calm and relax. Try to get one by one settle once and for all.

Today I checked the turnitin of the HTGYE book project. It needed to be checked one by one according to the chapter. There are several chapters that exceeded 20% and those need to be massively improved fast.

I also had my chapter to be revised too and I have to do it fast. Because after this I need to check and improve other chapters too.

I also had few other important tasks today such as a progress virtual meeting with my PhD student, Abdelrahim Minalla who is now in UAE, a Concept Mapping Workshop, reviewing manuscript journal and others.

Today I experienced two main important events. The first is attending the pre-recorded Majlis Anugerah Gemilang Fakulti Kejuruteraan 2020 (MAGFE2020) which Alhamdulilalh I received Excellence Award Service for the year 2019.

Second I joined the first meeting of ICSEC2021 conference which is organized by CREG and NUST, Pakistan. I am going to be incharged of the website part together with Dr. Muhammad Arif Ab Aziz, Dr. Asif and Dr. Fawas.

Today we took an off day due to some family stuff. Even though I’m taking a leave, I still think about the mountain of pending works that I am having behind my back.

I have always wanted to write and publish in AJEE. It is ironic that I am now the editor for AJEE but I have not published anything yet. Hence I am drafting one that I plan to publish in the coming Vol 4 Issue 2 of AJEE.

Yesterday I read 14 Reflection Journals of my ITE-ISP students. The writings are quite interesting compared to my previous years reading it. I have more international students compared to local students and I can see their writing style is different. They are more straight forward and directly share what they feel.

Today, I continued reading and grade the rest of the reflection journals.

This is the very first time that I am joining a CEE Postgraduate Symposium. Before this I have not had the opportunity to join any of the session. InsyaAllah I am looking forward to learn something here today. Talking about learning something, there are too many information available to learn as at the same time now, NALI2020 is offering many interesting beneficial talks.

SECOND VIVA IN A WEEK

Alhamdulillah dan TAHNIAH kepada Pelajar Master Chemical Engineering saya iaitu Zarifah Zailan yang baru selesai dengan jayanya mengharungi Viva separa virtual pagi tadi. You deserved it. Cepat-cepat buat correction dan bpleh sesama konvo dengan geng satu lab nanti.

Zarifah dan External Examiner berada di daerah masing-masing manakala yang lain berada di Bilik Viva 1 School of Chemical Engineering, N01a, UTM. Sesi bermula pada 9am dan berakhir sekitar 11.40am (termasuk nak uruskan hal connectivity yang kekadang buat hal).
