TEDxUTM 2023 – Masquerade – Done and Dusted

It was an amazing TEDxUTM 2023 event, I must say. It was the first time we organized it in the Face to Face platform after suffering from the fear of the pandemic.

I am not only a lecturer, a researcher, and an administrator, but I am also the Advisor of the new TEDxUTM student society which was just successfully registered under the Student’s Affair Deputy Vice Chancellor office.

I have shared my feelings and pictures on my Facebook and feel free to click the LINK HERE to read and flipped through our colorful event.

2022 Day 88 Task – CEE Small Meeting & Some TEDxUTM actitivy

Video shooting for TEDxUTM speech

I’m quite happy today because there are no class to prepare or to conduct. I only have few meetings that need to be carried out. There are few important points discussed in the small meeting in terms of the activities for Centre for Engineering Education (CEE).

Besides the list of tasks stated below, there are still tonnes of tasks that I have not fulfilled yet. I hope I can do most of them today.

Other official tasks today include:

  • Video preparation for introductory Speech for TEDxUTM.
  • Resubmitted first stage proposal and application for my EE PhD Student
  • Followed up on all my Post Graduate Students on their progress.
  • Appointed Anis, my master student for GRA for next semester.
  • Long discussion with one of my FYP students – regarding his tasks and future plans.
  • Followed up with RMC on some of payments for research purposes.

2022 Day 76 Task – Small CEE Group Meeting

Leading an organization, such as Centre for Engineering Education (CEE) could be tricky, challenging and overwhelming since a big chunk of our team is very busy academician (consisting of research fellow and associate fellow). All of them have their own special strength where they can contribute and I really appreciate them. Because of that, for CEE activities, I won’t be troubling them yet for certain activities that can be executed by our full time energetic and enthusiastic CEE staffs.

In the morning (10.30am) we had a small yet impactful discussion on what we should plan to do, plan to execute in this year. It covers the issue of SPC22, Webinars, Youtube, Discord, RCEE2021 and others. We will try to be as strategic and as systematic possible in terms of our program marketing.

Other tasks of the day:

  • Online meeting with Izyan and Hasmaliyana regarding Statik Paper for AJEE – 2.30pm
  • Signed and stamped Kelly’s certificate.
  • Signed and stamped TedXUTM society support letter.
  • Obtained and gave Hidayah all experimental consumption invoices for payment.
  • Small discussion with Prof K about RCEE2022 program to be organized by our Indonesian counterpart.
