The First Principle is the inquiry of the pre Socratic philosphers. By pre Socratic philosophers, we meant those Greek philosophers who lived before Socrates starting from the time of Thales of Miletus to Socrates to Socrates of Athens. Thales questioned about what is the First Cause of the existence, the element or matter from which everyone and everything else came. He eventually came to the conclusion that WATER was the First Cause as it could assume different forms, could become steam when heated and turn into ice when frozen and seemed to be in all living things.
However, his view was refuted by Anaximander who argued that the First Cause was beyond matter or elements. To him, it was INFINITE, a COSMIC FORCE OF CREATIVE ENERGY that constantly create, destroy and remake the observable world.
