ICRIIS 2015

The objective of ICRIIS’15 is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, professionals, government and private sectors from all over the world to present their research result and innovation in the field of Information Systems and ICT.

ICRIIS’15 will be hosted in Malacca, Malaysia. The organizers cordially invite scientists and practitioners in academia, industry and government to share and present their latest findings in IS research and innovation that are related to the conference theme i.e. “Society Transformation Through Social Innovation Systems”.

Our Submitted Paper to ICRIIS:

The first step to have ubiquitous environment is the existence of an accurate indoor positioning system. WLAN-based indoor positioning system is considered as one the best choices for indoor positioning due to its low cost, simple configuration and high accuracy. Although the WLAN Received Signal Strength fingerprinting method is the most accurate positioning method, the offline phase of this method; known as radio map creation; is a time consuming process. On the other hand, in the case of the dynamically change environments, this radio map will outdated and this will decline the positioning accuracy. In this paper an adapted Multi-Wall path loss model will be used to generate the radio map automatically based on the knowledge of the environment layout. The experimental results show that the indoor positioning by using the generated radio map can achieve high accuracy with average distance error reaches 1.2m.
