2021 Day 127 Task – Began PDF Proofing for Our Renewable Energy Journal Manuscript

Alhamdulillah, I am glad that Zarifah’s massive effort writing this review paper was finally showing some nice rewards. Today, Renewable Energy journal system got in touched with me to ask me to verify few things about our manuscript and also to go through the entire article to check in case there are any problems. There were several issues, mainly on the unit for certain parameters that require very careful check. I realized that I have started this, but I cannot complete this task today. The manuscript was a 70 plus pages word document and after it is converted into Renewable Energy format, it became 22 pages. Nevertheless there are still a lot, seriously plenty to go through for the checking.

2021 Day 125 Task – Safety Champion in Engineering Education (SCEE) First Meeting

Today is the start of the SCEE RAE Fellowship program. I participated in this program and I wish to learn precious skills and knowledge from the experts from UCL, RAE and other institutions. There are 25 participants from 17 institution around the world.

The first program commenced at 5pm to 7pm Malaysia time, 6th May 2021.

2021 Day 123 Tasks – Preparation of Test Question for Petroleum and Refinery Technology Course

As the title says, I prepared the test question for Petroleum and Refinery Technology Course that I am teaching this semester.

  • Checked Raihan’s Master Dissertation Correction.
  • Reviewed the hotel budget for RCEE2021 – from Double Tree Hilton, JB.
  • Read PBL Aalborg conference program.
  • Read through the SCEE RAE Program for Phase 1, just to double confirm our task for this week.

2021 Day 122 Tasks – EasyChair Brief Training

Since RCEE2021 will be adopting to the Easychair Platform for the papers management, we conducted an Easychair Training session for our Easychair Technical person. The training was initiated by Dr. Noraini and delivered by Dr. Norah. Before this I was just a user or participant (presenter) in a conference that uses Easychair…. But now I need to also know and understand how to use EasuChair.

2021 Day 121 Tasks – AJEE & IJET Management Tasks

I am presently the Editor for ASEAN Journal of Engineering Education (AJEE) and also just became a Guest Editor for International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET). The task for Guest Editor is shared with Dr. Mohd Fadzil Daud from SME and CEE. Special Issue IJET is there for selected RCEE2021 participants to submit their high quality manuscript.

2021 Day 120 Tasks – Meeting and Site Visit for Maahad Tahfiz Al-Fateh

I am one of the committee member to develop this new Maahad Tahfiz (Mataf) Al-Fateh that will be built and Kampung Melayu Kukup Laut, Pontian area. today, I managed to join a meeting with the committee and conduct a brief site visit at the location where the Mataf will be built on. It’s interesting and amazing that I am in this team for such a noble quest. I am doing what I can to help make this happen. InsyaAllah.

As mentioned in my previous post, this is also one of the social service to the community that I am involved in. Hopefully it will be a very meaningful and significant contribution. Insya Allah.

2021 Day 119 Tasks – Delivering Zakat to Asnaf Around Our Residential Area

One of the rare and unusual activity I did today was delivering Zakat Cash to asnaf. After Friday prayer, Hj Samiin, En. Wagiman and me, we went from one house to another house at Pulai Bistari and Pulai Mesra vicinity to deliver the zakat assistance. It was my first time doing such thing but it was interesting one. Out of 20 envelops with cash amounting up to RM400, we managed to deliver to 12 recipients. Another 8 were either not at home, have moved to another address and other reasons.

Why am I mentioning this here. Well, it’s part of the community service task, as a an academia, as a member of the society and as a human 🙂

2021 Day 117 Tasks – Panel Reaction Meeting

It has been such a long time since we had a Panel Reaction Meeting. I really cannot recall when was the last time we had it. But, finally we had one today at 9am and it was interesting to discussed various issues that include the lack of staffs that we are facing.

2021 Day 116 Tasks – Delivered Sharing Talk on Reflective Learning

I delivered a 1.5 hours talk on Reflective Learning today through Webex as per organized by UTMLEad. I must be honest that the preparation for it took quite some time compared to just 1.5 hour of delivering it… But I am very satisfied with my sharing. Alhamdulillah.
