2022 Day 78 Task – Preparation for MKKL Process Operation, Control and Troubleshooting Course

It’s a bright warm Saturday today. The new fresh semester will commence tomorrow. Today, I’m focusing on the class preparation for a new course that I will be teaching titled Process Operation, Control and Troubleshooting, MKKL1133. I’m so excited to be teaching this course as I can relate to my previous experience working in a processing plant as a process engineer more than 15 years ago. It will be a combination of theoretical and practical perspective of the subject matter. My class will take place every Sunday from 9am to 12pm. Wish me luck!

  • CEE project planning – SPC22 and others.
  • AJEE tasks
  • Entrepreneurship Challenge to my Kids kick started.
  • JCLPRO abstract checking.
  • Register Abstract for ICLCA2022
  • Purchase HSC Chemistry

2021 Day 58 Tasks – Drafting Mathwork Process Control Problem

Today I was more focused on preparing of Mathwork Tank Storage problem. The problem need to be real industrial problem that students can learn and appreciate. I included real Autocad drawing so it will look real and student can imagine what they will face later when they practice as an engineer.

Other tasks:

  • Finalized marks for the course I taught.
  • Met Dr. Kamaruddin for discussion on the Mathwork problem.
  • Managed bit of the ReCASE 2021 conference and papers.

Day 284 Tasks – Process Control Mathwork Meeting with other Universities

It’s an off day for me as Friday emerged. But that did not stop us from having this meeting to discuss the realization of preparing and launching a real industry problem to be presented in the Process Control class, not only in UTM, but USM and UMP.

The Zoom meeting which commenced at 9.30am sharp require only 30 minutes and we know what we need to do. It was short, sweet and precise because we already had one or two previous meetings and all the attendees knew the idea of the project.
