2021 Day 175 Task – Corrected & Improved HTGYE Book Chapter

It’s a beautiful Friday and I published this post in the morning from the patio at my house. I worked on the correction for HTGYE Book chapter and I managed to make improvement for my Chapt – Chapter 7. I have submitted it to our Leader of the Author and I felt really great that I have completed my first task for the day. I hope the new addition of content I embed just now will be a good one and be useful for jobseekers out there.

Well, there are still plenty of tasks that I have listed for today. Among them are the ones listed below.

2021 Day 174 Task – SEEM Visibility and Networking Committee Meeting

Under The Society of Engineering Educators Malaysia (SEEM), I am the head of the Visibility and Networking Committee. We have not had a meeting yet and I just realized this morning that we need to present activities for our committee. Immediately I created a new Whatsapp group to gather all 4 committee members, which are me, Dr. Salah from UPM, Dr. Nazatul from UM and Dr. Azlina from UiTM. We managed to had a 1 hour meeting that started at 2.30pm and came out with quite a number of detailed plan activities.

I am happy working with the new team which is from 4 different universities. It is like breathing fresh air. Getting new ideas, new dimension and new perspective.

Oh by the way, I submitted the correction for BCREC journal proof that Nazlina has completed and Alhamdulillah, the manuscript has now been published online. Feel free to download the paper here.

  • Plant Design Project meeting: 9pm – 10pm
  • Checked master student progress.
  • Prepared watermark for final exam paper.

2021 Day 105 Tasks – SEEM Meeting on My Weekend

So far the trend is SEEM meeting every Friday, which is our off day (as we work in Johor). But that’s fine as I occasionally do some official tasks throughout the weekends.

Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa SEEM Bil 2 2020/2021 was held from 3pm to 5pm and it include the new recruited committees as well. I participated in the meeting using my mobile phone as I was with my family purchasing books from my daughter who will sit for her SPM at the end of the year. It seems like now the world has really become so strongly connected. Even though we are not physically face to face at the meeting, even though we travel here and there, yet still the online meeting can be successfully executed even when I am in Plaza Angsana. I have several parts to present myself and that did not affected me from reporting my tasks/parts.

Most important decision from the meeting were made (that involved me) and I am glad that the meeting was held.

2021 Day 85 Tasks – SEEM Website Matter

Today is a wonderful off-day Saturday, which I spent few hours in the morning to deal and settle some of the long pending tasks. One of it that I would like to highlight here is the Society for Engineering Educators Malaysia (SEEM) Website, which I was just elected as one of the committee few months ago and I am in charged of the website. Luckily we have a freelance who can help me sort out the website, but there are still some technical issues that need to be dealt with. Hopefully it will be cleared soon.

Day 43 Task – Completing My Registration in Society of Engineering Education Malaysia (SEEM)

Alhamdulillah today I completed the registration as an ordinary member with Society of Engineering Education Malaysia (SEEM). I have registered online somewhere 2-3 weeks ago, but I haven’t paid the fee yet. Well, today I have officially paid the registration and annual fee, RM150.

If you are an engineering educator, I highly suggest you to join this society. There are plenty of activities that can uplift and strengthen our knowledge and skill as an engineering educator “Writing and Publishing Scholarly Experience Sharing Papers in Engineering and STEM Education Workshop and “Flipped Classroom Workshop”. Center of Engineering Education (CEE) Raya Moments and Meeting

Today, the Center of Engineering Education (CEE) members had a get together in conjunction with the Eid Celebration and also a meeting to finalize the HiCOE application to the ministry. The meeting was from 12.00 noon until roughly 3.30pm and plenty of aspects regarding the data collection and organization of COE from the 2013-2018 era was gathered.
