2022 Day 48 Task – Grading Reflection Journal & Meta-Reflection of My ITE Students

I spent majority of today to do most of the grading of my ITE student’s Reflection Journal and also Meta-Reflection Journal assignment. Since the reflections were submitted online in e-learning, I did all the readings, evaluation and commenting online as well.

I love reading student’s reflection. Besides knowing what and how they feel, I can also learn something new from the students as well. I have been reading reflection journal for quite a number of years already, perhaps since 2014, if I am not mistaken. That means I have been reading reflections for 7 years already. Phewww….

Other tasks of the day:

  • EE Research discussion with CEE RO
  • Discuss on rack purchase and also miscellaneous research matter with my Master student
  • Discuss on Thermodynamic paper project
  • Complete marking MKKL student marks

Thermodynamic Analysis of Glycerol Steam Reforming to Ethylene

I finally managed to published a new journal about my thermodynamic study from my PhD in Jurnal Teknologi. Here is the detail of my publication which you can view the journal and download the paper:

Zaki Yamani Zakaria, Juha Linekoski, Nor Aishah Saidina Amin, Thermodynamic Analysis of Glycerol Steam Reforming to EthyleneJurnal Teknologi, 2014, Vol 67, No 3 (PDF).

More of my published journals are published here.

Research Attachment at Newcastle University

I am very lucky that during my Ph.D, I was able to do my research attachment at Newcastle University from May to June 2012 for 2 months. I was supervised by Prof. Dr. Adam Harvey and Dr. Jon Lee from the Process Intensification Unit, Chemical Engineering Department. During my 2 months stay, my goal was to work on my thermodynamic model for glycerol steam reforming to light olefins. I used combination of Aspen and Matlab software in my efforts to solve the thermodynamic problem.
