Today is a Saturday, but we have to work. No excuse. There are still several assignments and tests from my Environmental Management course that need to be marked. At the end of the day, I managed to complete almost all of the marking of the course. Alhamdulillah.
2021 Day 56 Tasks – Finalizing Final Marks for ITE and ISP Course, while…


After weeks of carefully inserting and checking data marks, we finally concluded it and reveal it to the students via AIMS system. I am not interested to discuss or comment anything on the marks. Different students have different commitment, attitude and capabilities.

2021 Day 55 Tasks – Workshop on Effective Implementation of Student-Centred Learning, Part 1: Active Learning.



Another day, another 2-day training, operating from another room from my house. We keep on developing more work spaces in the house. Our client now is UTM Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics (RFTI), Kuala Lumpur. A new session with 30 academic staffs that have background coming from engineering, policy, social science, urban design/architecture and informatics discipline.

Hoping to deliver impactful and fruitful training for our client. InsyaAllah Next week (1 to 3 March), we will deliver another Active Learning training to our 100 Indonesian Lecturer friends under the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) Project.

2021 Day 53 Tasks – Chairing a PhD Second Assessment
Today I chaired one PhD Second Assessment session for Dr. Ho Wai Shin’s student, Angel. The Evaluator were Prof Sharifah and Dr. Lim Jeng Shiun. The outcome was the student past and proceed. The students have published more than 10 publications that consisted in high quality journals, Scopus journals and conference proceedings. What an amazing performance by the students who is just in her 5th semester.

- Filling up SCEE RAE form.

2021 Day 50 Tasks – Marking Introduction to Engineering (ITE) and Environmental Management Course
I am grateful that I completed a major chunk of the ISP marks yesterday. Today, I worked on the marking for Introduction to Engineering (ITE) course and managed to do quite a lot. I have prepared the excel marking template and completed my part of the marking. Subsequently I passed the excel template to my course partner for her to fill up the marks from her part.
I also started marking the assignment, test, individual and group project for Environmental Management master course. I did start a bit but there are still a lot to do. It’s ok, I started about 10-15% of the marking for today, which I felt is still good.
2021 Day 49 Tasks – Marking Industrial Seminar and Profession (ISP) Course
Today my focus was on the marking of the Industrial Seminar and Profession (ISP) course. There are plenty of items and sections to be graded based on the Course Information (CI). Alhamdulillah I managed to complete all the marking. As coorditor for this course, I also shared my excel template and example with other ISP lecturers on how they can prepare the markings.
2021 Day 48 Tasks – Night Meeting with UTP Lecturers
In view of the preparation of Safety Champion in Engineering Education (SCEE) project under RAE UK, I had a meeting with the Dean of Chemical Engineering Program of UTP and several lecturers to brief them about SCEE fellowship program. The meeting started at 9.30pm in the evening and the outcome was positive.
