Engineering Education Research Workshop Part 3

I am attending a 3 day workshop of Engineering Education Research (Part 3). Earlier I have attended Part 1 and Part 2. The earlier Part 1 and Part 2 were very challenging and tough for me. Although I have several engineering education research under my name and my comrades, there are still a lot to learn. Luckily the one today which is about data collection and analysis seems to be ok for me. InsyaAllah. Hopefully I can grasp all the skills and knowledge to be great in engineering education research.

Day 30 Task – First Meeting with Mr Abdelrahim, My New PhD Student from UAE/Sudan

Today, my new PhD student whom will be doing engineering education research under Center of Engineering Education registered. He just arrived from America and will be here in UTM until Saturday. Prof Dr. Khairiyah Mohd Yusof and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatin Aliah Phang are the co-supervisors. This is my first engineering education research student. I hope Mr. Abdelrahim PhD journey will be smooth. 1 Official Task Per Day Record through out 2020 – A Personal Challenge

Since it is the new year 2020, I am thinking of something more interesting to do, something more meaningful yet memorable, where I can share permanently and at the same time as my own record. Hence, I am planing to start posting one official task per day for the entire year. This is a challenge for me and I hope it will be a good one.

The nature of my post for this new category will be just short, compact and direct. That’s it. Even though there might be 10 official activities, but due to the nature of my job and life, I will be just sharing only 1 activity.

You will see me posting = Day 1 – MKKE Master Project Examiner, which means this is the 1st of January 2020.

Then perhaps you will see Day 32, which indicates day number 32 in 2020 that is 1st of February 2020.

I will make this post up till Day 365 of 2020, insyaAllah. Hopefully it is possible. Amin.

Center of Engineering Education (CEE) Raya Moments and Meeting

Today, the Center of Engineering Education (CEE) members had a get together in conjunction with the Eid Celebration and also a meeting to finalize the HiCOE application to the ministry. The meeting was from 12.00 noon until roughly 3.30pm and plenty of aspects regarding the data collection and organization of COE from the 2013-2018 era was gathered.

My First Meeting as a Fellow Member with Center of Engineering Education (CEE)

It is indeed a historical moment. After attending the briefing for Final Examination Vetting (BENGKEL PENYEDIAAN & PENILAIAN SOALAN PEPERIKSAAN AKHIR (UG & PG) SESI 2018/2019 SEMESTER II) in the School of Chemical & Energy Engineering, I rushed to Center of Engineering Education (CEE) at 10.30am. I used to come here (CEE) for meeting but within the capacity as Introduction to Engineering (ITE) lecturer. But now, I am here as a new CEE Research Fellow.

One term that I learned from this meeting is “Epistemology”.

What is epistemology?

It is the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and the distinction between justified belief and opinion.
