Early today seems to be quote complicated with various CEE administrative issues, but I have to stay calm and organize everything. However life goes on and it needs to keep going.
At 8.45am, the TOT OBE training started. This is a 2-days OBE training (Day number 2) involving lecturers from UNDIP and UNS. UTM CEE Team lead by Head of Project, Prof. Khairiyah conducted the program. We hope that a good number of lecturers will be OBE champions in Indonesia.
Today is the second day of the OBE Course Assessment under the RAE project. The first day was held yesterday and the 3rd day will be tomorrow. So far the workshop was very good and we can see that the participants were enthusiastic and responded well.
I have been a facilitator for this kind of workshop for few times, I am guessing maybe 3 times already. Being in this workshop makes me learn and relearn every time, whenever I attend. Before this I am not familiar with OBE, but after attending several workshops, I realized that the bring back knowledge differs from one workshop to another workshop. The percentage of knowledge retained will not be that big, but we learned something (around 50%), but upon attending another workshop, the knowledge increased and established a bit more (up to 60%). Then it keeps on increasing and I get better and better.
The knowledge captured (bring back home knowledge) depends on what I am feeling, thinking or experiencing at that time. When the knowledge delivered by the speaker relates to something that I am working on that time, then I will manage to retain it more.
This RAE-Indonesia Workshop: Course Assessment for OBE will take place for 3 days, that is from 24th to 26th August 2021. The Workshop for this time is lead by AP Dr. Yudariah, AP Dr. Nazihah and Prof. Dr. Sharifah Kamilah. The rest of us assisted as organizer and facilitators.
A 4 days training with 100 Indonesian lecturers started today….
This manuscript has been disturbing the peace in my head and mental capacity. After 2 years plus working on this paper, and after last month getting comments from reviewers and editor, I managed to finally submit the correction, of course with the help of all the authors, who each of them played significant role. Now, lets hope and pray that the manuscript will receipt positive feedback. InsyaAllah. Amin.

Alhamdululillah today CEE UTM conducted the continuity of the OBE Training for Indonesian Lecturers (3 days from 23 to 25 March 2021). Previous trainings for the same group have been conducted before in February Day 4 , Feb Day 3, Feb Day 1. So, even though today is an official holiday in Johor Bahru, we still work and dedicate our time for this great purpose.

Today, we are scheduled to do the presentation of our own Student Advisory Performance (Penasihat Akademik (PA)) to our Head of Department. My PA students now are in the 3rd year and there are numerous patterns of result. I realized that I need to follow up and check on several of my students that have dropped their points.

Today, we started another online training which is the continuity from the 1st RAE Training for Indonesian Lecturer. This will be a 3-days workshop that will help clarify the lecturers about Active Learning (AL). Apart from the Indonesian lecturers, there are 4 lecturers from SCEE UTM who participated as well.
Today is the Part 3 of the Online OBE Workshop with UNS. We had our Part 1 and Part 2 few weeks ago. The first day of the Part 3 session went smooth, Alhamdulillah. I am in charged of the Chemistry Break-up room and we had an amazing discussion on helping them to understand the assessment part of the PEO, PO and CO. The 2nd day will resume tomorrow.

Today is the second day of the Part 2 Workshop with UNS. The first workshop on OBE can be read here (1st day) and here (2nd day). This second workshop was held from 14-15 September 2020. I was involved as one of the facilitators. The speakers for this session were Prof Khairiyah, Dr. Syed Helmy, Dr. Nurul Ahyam, Prof Fatin and Dr. Naziha.
