Day 23 Task: Presenting Our Academic Advisor Student Marks and Analysis

Today our department staff have to present all the marks of the student under our observation (Academic Advisor duties) to the Head of Program. Early in the morning I arrived at our Director’s office to present and discuss my student’s performances with her. Alhamdulillah. Everything is good and fine!

Other task for the day:

  • Preparation of TRGS grant
  • Preparation of CAR documents.
  • Studying how to do Patent Filing Search which is not a requirement for TRGS and few other research grants.

Day 15 Task: Mesyuarat Perbincangan Semakan Kurikulum Sarjana Pengurusan Tenaga

I had a important meeting today at the Deputy Vice Chancellor Office (TNCA) regarding the discussion on Master Energy Program Curriculum Discussion and Checking. The meeting was conducted to improve the curriculum of the course in view of the earlier MQA comment on the program. The photo above is just showing the scenario after the meeting 🙂 .

Besides that, today I have several targets to accomplished today. Among them are to finalize the marks for Introduction to Engineering (ITE) course as well as Seminar and Industrial Profession (ISP) Course. Besides that, there are other tasks that need to be worked on and I must work smart and fast.

Day 10 Task: Finishing Reading Meta Reflection of My Students

Today is a Friday, a long waited public holiday in Johor Bahru. But, early in the morning, I woke up to read nearly half of the remaining Meta Reflection from my 1st year chemical engineering students. It’s a lot to read but at the same time quite interesting to read how the student narrate the content, assessment, reflective thinking, evaluation and feedback. Finally, I managed to complete marking all and inserting the marks. Fuhh…

Day 6 Task: Grading Stage 3 ITE Report

Today, I did my best to complete the grading for ITE Stage 3 report. There were altogether 12 reports that need to be graded. Alhamdulillah, this challenging task of reading the report was successfully completed today. Next is to grade the Meta Reflection Journal of my students. Each Meta reflection journal is 4 pages multiply that by 41 students. Can you imagine the amount of write up I must read?

Day 5: Chairman/Panel for Undergraduate Research Presentation + Plant Design Project Coordination Meeting

Today is a very full pact day. First hald of the day was the final presentation for Undergraduate Research Project. Two of my students presented in this event. At the same time, I am one of the panels and also the chairperson for my session. This event took place from 9am to 12.30pm, followed by the announcement ceremony for the best presenters from each session. Surprisingly one of my students, Nasyitah won the best presenter in the Modelling and simulation session. Congrats!!!

Second of the day was the Plant Design Project Coordination meeting. We have to plan for the coming semester. There will be about 150 students going to pursue this course and there are a mountain of tasks in terms of planning and coordination work to be done. This was from 2.30pm to 5.10pm at Bilik Mesyuarat Dekan.

Day 4 Task: Finalizing Refinery and Petrochemical Technology Course Marks and Entering it to AIMS

Finally, I managed to grade and finalize all the marks for my SKKC4723 – Refinery and Petrochemical Technology Course. Now I can move on to my 2 other course. There are still a mountain of tasks to do. That’s why, I still have to utilize my precious weekend for this.
