It is the first time that Sekolah Menengaah Kebangsaan Taman Sutera (SMKTS), Johor Bahru participated in the Problem Based Learning (PBL) for Low Carbon Society (LCS) education in their school. About 32 form 2 students participated in this program which is conducted on every Wednesday morning from 7.30am to 9.15AM. It was my first time entering and monitoring the PBL activity in this school.

Today, the Center of Engineering Education (CEE) members had a get together in conjunction with the Eid Celebration and also a meeting to finalize the HiCOE application to the ministry. The meeting was from 12.00 noon until roughly 3.30pm and plenty of aspects regarding the data collection and organization of COE from the 2013-2018 era was gathered.
Before the holy month of Ramadan, we decided to have a relaxing family retreat at Bayou Lagoon Park Resort, Melaka. We haven’t been here. The place is quite nice with the price we managed to get, which is RM220 for a 3 room apartment and 6 entrance tickets to the water park. What an amazing superb deal my other half manage to detect and secure. At a normal other day the price for similar package would be RM500 ++, if I am not mistaken. Well we are going to be here only for 1 night. Tomorrow afternoon we will head back to JB.
Today I briefly presented to the Final Year Students taking Plant Design Project the Final Presentation Briefing. Vital information about the format of final report format, final presentation format, arrangement of chapters for reports and others were presented. The session took place from 2pm to 3pm at DK5 N11a. After my presentation, Prof Rozainee delivers his talk titled Professional Project Presentation. His presentation was awesome and energetic!
After lunch and solat, I had a 45 minute meeting with a Plant Design Project group. It is not my group, but other group. They need some opinion, ideas and comments. Though when dealing with Plant Design Project, I can wear a hat as supervisor and/or as coordinator, but this time, I am just wearing a hat as a lecturer who help out this team. I hope this team got some precious input from the discussion just now. Before leaving, the claimed that they were glad to have a meeting with me, although not long. Alhamdulillah.
First task of the day is the workshop of Control of Industrial Major Hazard (CIMAH) Modular Package, which was held for one day in IFOG Meeting Room, N29A. Participants of the workshop include Hj Arshad, En. Adha, Dr. Kamarizan and myself. It is our main goal to develop a quality CIMAH Module for the nation. InsyaAllah.
It is indeed a historical moment. After attending the briefing for Final Examination Vetting (BENGKEL PENYEDIAAN & PENILAIAN SOALAN PEPERIKSAAN AKHIR (UG & PG) SESI 2018/2019 SEMESTER II) in the School of Chemical & Energy Engineering, I rushed to Center of Engineering Education (CEE) at 10.30am. I used to come here (CEE) for meeting but within the capacity as Introduction to Engineering (ITE) lecturer. But now, I am here as a new CEE Research Fellow.
One term that I learned from this meeting is “Epistemology”.
What is epistemology?
It is the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and the distinction between justified belief and opinion.
