Set priorities in life

Had a discussion with my dear daughter recently. She was confused with what she really wants in her life. Of course, everyone wants to get the best in this life. Unfortunately, we are not entitled for all the best in this world. So, we have to set priorities in our life.

Know your priorities and how to keep them straight

Surah Al-An’aam –

A128

˹Consider˺ the Day He will gather them ˹all˺ together and say, “O assembly of jinn! You misled humans in great numbers.” And their human associates will say, “Our Lord! We benefited from each other’s company, but now we have reached the term which You appointed for us.” ˹Then˺ He will say, “The Fire is your home, yours to stay in forever, except whoever Allah wills to spare.” Surely your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

Why different types of sea water do not mix

After watching the video that I have posted earlier, it is good to read up on the reasons given in the Quran for why different types of sea water do not mix. You may click on the link

https://www.islam-guide.com/ch1-1-e.htm

Although there are large waves, strong currents, and tides in these seas, they do not mix or transgress this barrier.

The Holy Quran mentioned that there is a barrier between two seas that meet and that they do not transgress.  God has said:

He has set free the two seas meeting together.  There is a barrier between them.  They do not transgress.  (Quran, 55:19-20)

But when the Quran speaks about the divider between fresh and salt water, it mentions the existence of “a forbidding partition” with the barrier.  God has said in the Quran:

He is the one who has set free the two kinds of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter.  And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.  (Quran, 25:53)

I personally believe that besides signifying the greatness of Allah, the interpretation of the verses can go beyond the literary meaning. The message can be for humans, that is, do not transgress. We should be aware of the barrier. There are limits in everything we do.

Wallahualam.

Different types of sea water do not mix

When I first looked at the title of this video, my feeling was oooh this is not new to me. In the holy Quran, it is stated that

He has set free the two seas meeting together.  There is a barrier between them.  They do not transgress.  (Quran, 55:19-20)

He is the one who has set free the two kinds of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter.  And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.  (Quran, 25:53)

Nevertheless, it is interesting to listen to the scientific explanation on why different types of sea water do not mix.

Jinn and Demon in Islam

Do Muslims believe in supernatural or paranormal? From the site that I shared below, it seems Muslims who observe their prayers tend to believe in the existence of Jinn. There are also Muslims who believe in witchcraft and Talismans. As a Muslim, we have to believe in the existence of Jinn and demons. But, we should not forget that Allah is our great PROTECTOR. Only Allah alone can keep us safe from all evils.

Boleh baca surah Al-A’raf ayat 156.

Wallahualam.

Munafiq

In the surah Al-Baqarah verse 19, Allah uses a metaphor to describe the munafiq. Who is the munafiq? Munafiq is a person who in public and in community shows that he is a Muslim but rejects Islam or propagate against it either in his heart or among enemies of Islam. In other words, the munafiq is a hypocrite.

Or like (the one exposed to) a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness and thunder and lightning; they put their fingers into their ears for fear of Allah and Allah encompasses the disbelievers.

It is apparent that the munafiq people are described as people who choose to turn their blind eyes, even though it is crystal clear and pretend not to hear, even though it is loud and clear.
