To please Allah or to please …

The answer is very obvious

Rasulullah P.B.U.H said, “He who displeased Allah for seeking the pleasure of people, Allah is displeased with him and those people are also displeased, for pleasing whom he had earned Allah’s displeasure. And he who pleases Allah, although by it he displeased people, Allah is pleased with him, and also those people whom he had displeased for pleasing Allah become pleased with him. Allah makes him splendid and his speech and acts in the eyes of others beautiful.” [Tabarani]

To please those who are not pleased

My goodness. This task is not easy for leaders. The saying ‘you cannot please everyone’ is true. You might be able to please one person, but others might not be happy with you. Nonetheless, as leaders you cannot ignore them. More importantly, leaders must possess effective communication skills to comfort the unhappy ones. All the best.

say something nice

I need to refrain myself from saying something, unless it is nice to others

If you can’t say something nice

Don’t say anything at all

Can I really do that? BUT, there are times when you have to be cruel in order to be kind. Be direct and be honest.

Judging others

I would like to share some saying by my schoolmate.

The happiest people I know are evaluating and improving themselves. The unhappy people usually evaluating and judging others.

Don’t judge people for the choices they make when you don’t know the options they had to choose from.

Nice, aren’t they?

Why different types of sea water do not mix

After watching the video that I have posted earlier, it is good to read up on the reasons given in the Quran for why different types of sea water do not mix. You may click on the link

https://www.islam-guide.com/ch1-1-e.htm

Although there are large waves, strong currents, and tides in these seas, they do not mix or transgress this barrier.

The Holy Quran mentioned that there is a barrier between two seas that meet and that they do not transgress.  God has said:

He has set free the two seas meeting together.  There is a barrier between them.  They do not transgress.  (Quran, 55:19-20)

But when the Quran speaks about the divider between fresh and salt water, it mentions the existence of “a forbidding partition” with the barrier.  God has said in the Quran:

He is the one who has set free the two kinds of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter.  And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.  (Quran, 25:53)

I personally believe that besides signifying the greatness of Allah, the interpretation of the verses can go beyond the literary meaning. The message can be for humans, that is, do not transgress. We should be aware of the barrier. There are limits in everything we do.
