Money Heist

Be yourself and never give in

Lesson to learn from Money Heist, season 5, is you have to remain calm, be yourself and don’t think about giving in when you are in a crisis. In one episode, there were two gangs with gunpoint at each other. None retracted their gun, because once they gave in, they would lose. As long as they did not give in, they had a chance to win. In that kind of situation, it is either both win or both lose. And, you choose to win or to lose.

LISTEN!!!

Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.

Stephen R. Covey

This is the real challenge in communication, when people listen not for understanding but more of for attacking. If this happens, we will face communication break down. People who don’t like listening to others, will not give a chance for others to explain. In any kind of argument, we always hear people said ‘listen, listen, listen..’ because everybody wants to talk but not to listen.

Pentingnya Sejarah

Do Good Things vs Bad Things

When we do a good thing, it is better for us to keep it to ourselves and maybe that is the reason for people not to realise the good things we do. When we do a bad thing, it is the same, we don’t tell people, but ironically the whole world can know the bad things that we do. Hmmmmm… There are so many quotes about doing good things and bad things.

Buat baik berpada-pada, buat jahat jangan sekali.

Whatever you do, good or bad, people will always have something negative to say.

The best thing is…

Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are.

Harold S. Kushner

Make it simple or make it complicated!

We sometime think that if we explain complicated things to others and people don’t understand our explanation, we consider ourselves as great. People are not as intelligent as us, for not being able to understand what we are talking about. Actually we are wrong. When we cannot simplify complicated things, it means we don’t understand what we are talking about. How can we explain things that we don’t understand to others. It is impossible.

If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.

Albert Einstein

Cheer up when you are under attacked.

When people start attacking you, take it as a good sign. People will attack you when they don’t feel secure. Feeling insecurity can be caused by many factors. Some of the reasons I can think of are

  1. your enemy cannot find faults in you
  2. you ignore their existence
  3. you hold tight to your principles no matter who they are
  4. your enemy finds that they cannot use you

The enemy wouldn’t be attacking you if something very valuable wasn’t inside of you. You have got purpose!

LSP International Seminar 2021

At the closing ceremony – 7 December 2021.

We had more than 130 participants with more than 30 paper presentations.

We received many positive comments for the quality of the papers and the friendly virtual environment that we provide. This perhaps our first online seminar but certainly not the last.
