It is interesting, the blend between old and new teaching methods. Nevertheless, Malaysian education has embedded literature in the English language syllabus. Literature is a subject on its own. I don’t know much about literature and not very clear how literature can help students learn language since literature is not my area.

As I posted earlier, this MPhil study was interesting with good research findings. Alhamdulillah, the viva session went well and quite happy with the student.

I have learnt a new word, neologism, from a student’s master thesis. It was a good study with interesting findings. And there is a potential to study Malay neologism. What I know, the Indonesian language has a lot of neologisms, for example, lansia (lanjut usia).
